Farm Credit staff and directors gathered to see how a contribution to the OSU New Frontiers Campaign is coming to fruition. In Spring 2021, the Ferguson College of Agriculture broke ground to begin the $100 million project that will house top-tier research and ag technology, local extension and outreach programs, and adaptable classrooms and teaching labs to develop the future leaders of agriculture.

With expectations to finish in Fall 2024, members of Oklahoma AgCredit’s executive team and Board of Directors were given the opportunity in early June to explore current developments of the College of Ag’s new home.

“The New Frontiers building represents an investment in the future of agricultural research, education, and outreach for Oklahoma,” says Rodney Holcomb, Oklahoma AgCredit Appointed Director and Audit Committee Chair. “The contributions of Oklahoma AgCredit to this effort shows the commitment of the Farm Credit System to farming, ranching, and rural communities in our state.”

In 2020, Oklahoma AgCredit, in partnership with other Farm Credit Associations of Oklahoma, donated $500,000 toward the New Frontiers campaign.

“We appreciate OSU for inviting us to take an inside look at the construction progress,” says Bill Davis, Oklahoma AgCredit President and CEO. “This building will be a spearhead for development and innovation in agriculture which will positively impact our borrowers, as well as farmers and ranchers across Oklahoma.”
